The boys had and awesome day today. Once a month our homeschool group gets together for girls club/boys club. We go to some ones house and just have plain old fun. This time, the local Yucaipa Fire Dept. came to a house and showed the boys really neat stuff. Like what to do in case of emergency (911 and stop drop and roll--those sort of things) and showed them every inch of their truck. One of them put ALL his gear on. Seth thought he sounded like Darth Vader. He then sat real still, and a loud alarm started to go off. Seth enjoyed admiring their polished truck, he kept sticking his tongue out, making pig faces, talking to himself in his reflection. They also let the boys try on their gear, climb in the truck and even pretend to drive it. Afterwards we took a short hike up the hill to where a fire had just burned a few months a go. We saw how close it got to the homes in the area ( too close for comfort). A few of them even saw a deer, along the path. The come down closer to civilization because of the fire. We ended the day with homemade chocolate chip cookies and milk.

Glad to hear Seth got his cookies afterall... or did he pass this time too ;-) Sounds like a great boys club.
Actually those pesky deer come down here in our yards all the time and eat everything up! :) Glad you all had fun. Gilrs club went well too.
